Diode Array Detector (DAD)

This Diode Array Detector SpectraFlow 2050 provides a variable wavelength with a range of 200 – 800 nm in increments of 1 nm.

Using a test cell at 254 nm the noise level is ± 5 x 10-6 AU.

This unit allows simultaneous absorbance measurements of eight wavelengths in one cell just as well as measuring the whole absorbance spectrum. In liquid chromatography this unit is used to verify analysed samples by means of eight wavelengths or complete scanned spectra. The unit uses a high standard deuterium lamp in a special socket which enables a rapid and simple lamp exchange directly from the device’s front panel.  Three selectable flow cells are available: AD02, AD05 and AD10 with an optical path length of 2.4, 5 and 10 mm, respectively. They can be easily replaced from the side of the detector.

The output signal can be obtained in both digital and analogue form. This detector can be programmed, controlled and used manually by keypad or together with the software Clarity® via USB or ethernet interface. Thus it is a complete „stand alone“-instrument which maybe combined with HPLC-Systems of other manufacturers. The Clarity® PDA module supports the 3D measurement. The diode array principle enables the user to perform a continuous scan up to 100 Hz or alternatively an absorbance measuring on eight wavelengths simultaneously.
